Eve Schutt, MS LMHC

"Hello.. life can be challenging, resilience sometimes seems in short supply. As an experienced counselor, I won't just guide you through the tangled path, I will teach you skills so if you have to navigate a rough road ahead you will have the right tools

Welcome to Colville Counseling, the private practice of Eve Schutt, MS (Master’s degree) LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practioner).  I am located in Colville, Washington and serve Stevens County, Pend Oreille County, and Ferry County in NorthEast Washington state. If you like what you find on this website, please choose a way to contact me from the contact page, or call to schedule an appointment. I extend a warm and accepting welcome to each of you and I look forward to getting to know you personally.

I provide individual mental health counseling for individuals with a variety of disorders.  Diagnosis and symptoms I address include but are not limited to:  anxiety, ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), panic attacks, depression, Bi-polar I and II, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, and personality disorders such as Borderline, Avoidant, Dependent, Obsessive Compulsive, etc.  Adjustment disorders to life's transitions such as grief and loss issues, life changes in career, health, and relationships can also be addressed. Learn skills to overcome life's problems such as trauma, intergenerational shame, communicating effectively, acceptance of the problems that cannot be changed, tolerating the stresses in life, and developing or reconnecting to the wisdom that will help your life run smoother.

I have a variety of techniques to use which I have picked up in my mental health career that began in 1990, including Somatic Experiencing (SE) techniques which will assist in the resolution of trauma. I braid together CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and SE techniques in sessions.  Braided ropes are stronger than single strand approaches.
